This book answers the question, “What do people of all faiths and nationalities have in common?” The answer is that we are all God’s children and God hears and answers our prayers—often in miraculous ways.
Discover the true, modern miracles occurring in the lives of men and women around the world in our day—over thirty stories across five continents and over a dozen countries. This book will strengthen your faith and confidence that God hears your prayers and is watching over you and your loved ones, and it will boost your desire to reach out and help others today.
Life can be challenging for each of us, and it often is. While we may feel alone in our struggles, we are surrounded by those who want to help us and who are cheering for us, such as friends and family on earth, the spirits of our ancestors, and the angels of God.
For three years I have been gathering stories from men and women of different faiths, cultures, and countries around the world. One thing is certain-miracles continue, and these stories describe the incredible ways God is assisting people today. I hope these stories will be a source of hope and inspiration to you and that they will strengthen your faith in a God who loves you, hears your prayers and stands ready to assist you.
I am grateful to those who have contributed stories to this book and I have committed to share 20% of the book’s earnings with local charities in the countries where stories are from. Our first gift was sent to the Utah Food Bank to help those in need. Our second gift was sent to City Harvest in New York to help hungry families and individuals.
Thank you for reading these stories. I hope you enjoy them!
Sincerely,
David Stone

“Thankfully, the grapefruit provided a small daily ration of liquid so we could survive. One third of the 23 people on the boat were children under 13 years old. They and the three women on the boat were all exhausted due to dehydration, hunger, and the heat of the day and the cold at night.
All had seasickness and one of the children fell unconscious for a time. We saw a few international cargo ships passing by and we waved and yelled for them to rescue us, but they ignored us. In the late afternoon on the fourth day, the ocean was filled with waves and we saw dark clouds all around us. A storm was coming. At the same time, we saw lights far in the distance and thought it was dry land.
We started feeling optimistic that we would soon reach safety. As we approached the lights, we saw that it was a group of fishing boats. They probably saw us too because we had our lights on. Then we saw them spread out and come towards us. The wind started blowing stronger and the rain started.
At that moment, our boat owner realized that the other boats were likely Thai pirate fishing boats and they were spreading out and advancing towards our boat to prepare to attack us. Quickly, our boat owner ordered the driver to turn away and increase to maximum speed to escape. Our boat was much smaller than the bigger fishing boats and we could maneuver more quickly. Our boat owner ordered all the men to help pull a canvas cover over the boat to make us more aerodynamic and hasten our escape. We turned all the lights off and kept going at the highest speed possible, not knowing where we were going…”
